About Our Association
The Association of Dietetics Professionals (ADP) is India’s dedicated professional home for registered dietitians and clinical nutritionists. Founded in 2025 and formally registered in New Delhi, ADP exists at the intersection of science, public health, and professional advocacy — championing the people who guide India toward better eating and healthier lives.
We are government-registered (Org No. S/RS/SW/HQ/092/2025, DARPAN ID DL/2025/0736657) and non-partisan, serving members across every state and specialisation — from clinical hospital dietetics and sports nutrition to paediatric dietetics, food technology, and public health nutrition.

What We Do
ADP operates across six interconnected domains that together strengthen the dietetics profession and improve nutritional health outcomes for people across India.
Professional Development
We design and deliver accredited Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programmes, workshops, webinars, and online courses that help dietitians maintain licensure and stay current with rapidly evolving evidence. From clinical nutrition updates to food-tech innovations, our learning catalogue grows with the profession.
Advocacy & Policy
ADP represents the voice of dietetics professionals before government health bodies, regulatory agencies, and academic institutions. We advocate for standardised licensure, fair practice guidelines, and recognition of dietitians as essential primary-care providers — ensuring the profession has a seat at the table where India's health policy is shaped.
Research & Evidence
We support and disseminate evidence-based research in clinical nutrition, public health dietetics, and food science. Through partnerships with hospitals, universities, and research institutions, ADP helps translate laboratory findings into practical guidance that dietitians can apply with their patients every day.
Community & Networking
A career in dietetics should never be solitary. ADP connects professionals across all states through national conferences, regional chapter events, peer mentorship programmes, and an online member directory — creating the collaborative ecosystem that the profession needs to thrive in a rapidly changing healthcare landscape.
Clinical Standards
We publish and maintain evidence-based clinical practice guidelines for common dietetic interventions — from diabetes nutrition therapy to renal diet management — giving practitioners a trusted, peer-reviewed reference to standardise care quality across hospitals and community settings throughout India.
Public Health Education
Beyond serving its members, ADP actively campaigns to improve nutritional literacy among the Indian public. Through social media, school outreach, and community workshops, we tackle pressing issues — childhood malnutrition, the rising burden of lifestyle diseases, and food-label awareness — in partnership with public health organisations across the country.

Association Founded
Established in New Delhi to advance the profession of dietetics and nutrition in India, with formal registration as a society under the Societies Registration Act.
DARPAN Registration
Registered on the NGO-DARPAN portal (ID: DL/2025/0736657), enabling ADP to collaborate with government bodies and apply for institutional grants and recognition.
First National Conference
